Paying with Bitcoin. How it works.
Short answer
You choose Bitcoin at checkout, scan the QR code with your wallet app and confirm. It takes a few minutes. Your money goes straight to the shop.
You already have Bitcoin
At checkout choose “Pay with Bitcoin”. The payment page opens. It shows the amount in Bitcoin, a QR code and the address to copy.
Open the wallet app on your phone, scan the code and confirm the payment. On a computer you copy the address and amount into your wallet. After that the return page shows the status of your payment until it is confirmed.
You don’t have Bitcoin yet
Bitcoin lives in a wallet app on your phone. You install the app, create the wallet and get your first Bitcoin through an exchange or a Bitcoin ATM. The first time takes longer than a card payment, after that it is quick.
Which provider you use is up to you. We don’t recommend one here.
Write down your wallet’s recovery words on paper and never share them, not even with us.
Common questions
How long is the rate valid?
After you tap “Pay with Bitcoin” the rate is fixed for 60 minutes. In that time you send the amount shown on the payment page. If the time runs out, just start a new payment. Your cart stays saved.
What happens if I send too little?
A payment that is too small is recorded. While the payment page is open you can send the missing rest. If it has expired, we get in touch and sort it out personally.
How long does confirmation take?
Usually a few minutes. Your order is only created once the payment is confirmed. Until then the return page shows the status. You can leave it open or bookmark it.
What does paying cost?
You pay the network fee when you send from your own wallet. Its size depends on the Bitcoin network and is shown in your wallet.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by hand. You get a link by email and enter your Bitcoin address there. Then we send the amount from our wallet.
